Call rose by any name, Bard said, fragrance remains same.Whether you describe slowdown or recession looming over indian economy; at the end of the day its debilitating for the macro fundamentals .The effect of the demonetisation , farmers protest , slowdown in manufacturing sector including SME, huge write off in banks – all these aberrations much discussed. If we focus on current trade war between China and USA , we do have reasons to protect our manufacturing activities grossly against invasion of worst order from Chinese technology. The smaller and tiny enterprises supporting albeit contributing to the economy in their own ways are getting frustrated with Chinese products available abundantly in cheap variants . Not to say Chinese domination pervades in electronics ,telecom, infra, heavy industries even metro rail. Quite reasonably voices are being raised in political and economic circles on the danger in Trade balances eventually in the context of current state of economy. Is a turf war USA type imminent?
